A local Akron full-length production

Akron's All-City Musical group present their very own production of the Cameron Mackintosh and Disney's Tony Award-winning stage musical, based on the beloved movie. Based on P.I. Travers cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins features the Sherman brothers original Academy Award-winning songs and stunned Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances!

Jane and Michael Banks long desperately to spend time with their workaholic father, Mr Banks. However, Mr Banks would prefer that his high-spirited children become quiet and well-behaved, and so sets out to hire a nanny.The children learn of this and draft their own advert, which they give to their father. Incensed at their requests, he angrily tears the paper up and throws it into the fire, before writing his own advert for a serious nanny. But somehow the pieces fly up the chimney to the clouds...and into the hands of a beautiful but no-nonsense woman with a carpet bad and a parrot-headed umbrella - Mary Poppins.

The children find themselves with a nanny who is both stern yet sweet, proper but adventurous, and otherworldly, yet kind. Can she convince the Banks to reconcile with each other as a family before the wind changes?
